Last call...and we don't mean drinks

I just got this email and wanted you to see that they said it themselves. No need for me to elaborate.

Dear Aaron,

If someone gave you one last swing at the plate, one more shot at the goal, one more Hail Mary pass, wouldn't you take it?

On January 3, a new Congress will be seated that includes extremist Tea Party Republicans like Rand Paul whose primary goal is to cut the benefits to millions of Americans hurting in this economy, while handing out massive tax cuts to the wealthy.

Ya, read that again. I've highlighted the pertinent bit, where they basically admit to their own agenda's results:

On January 3, a new Congress will be seated that includes extremist Tea Party Republicans like Rand Paul whose primary goal is to cut the benefits to millions of Americans hurting in this economy, while handing out massive tax cuts to the wealthy.

That's right, folks. They just admitted that the welfare queen benefits they want to keep are what's hurting America's economy. At least the socialists are honest about this one. Even though it's just a typo.

They're Still Gaming It In the Name of "Healthcare Reform"

Here's what they sent today:
LAST CHANCE: Vote to support healthcare reform

We're now within a few votes of winning a $250,000 grant from Pepsi to
spread the word across America about the new healthcare benefits which
just took effect. Among more than 1,000 groups, we might actually win
this thing because of support from people like you!

In the "Pepsi Refresh Everything" contest, we've climbed from sixth place to second place in the final week. With only hours remaining, we're in position to pull off a huge victory for the progressive movement.

But in order to make the leap to #1, we need folks like you to *keep
voting* today and tomorrow. Voting ends at midnight on Sept. 30th.

Click below to cast your vote today and help make this healthcare campaign a reality!

[Don't bother clicking here, I've removed the link]

My response to TrueMajority which is a majority party of hypocritical jackasses:

Hey, buttnuggets! WTF? Pepsi's charity plan isn't for big, well-funded, leftist organizations like you to carjack for your own devices. They're to fund GRASSROOTS (meaning real) charity and community organizing. Sorry, but "Commy" and "Community" aren't the same.

Here's something someone was nice enough to post on my original re-post of my first expose of your b.s. on my other site at MilitantLibertarian.org

She exposes your hypocrisy with links to your own "screw the corporation" claims! Jan P's comment:

Thank you for noting this! This ‘progressive slate’ is unbelievable in their tactics. All 16 of their projects have taken over the pepsi grant board in all the top spots. They even blatantly declare they are going to do this every month the competition is on – they are prepared to swoop 8 million dollars from Pepsi and from good causes who really need the dollars.

See their comment here: Summary:
http://openleft.com/diary/19770/a-chance-to-get-some-of-corporate-americas-money-into-progressive-hands:

“Led by the Center for Progressive Leadership, there is a group of 11 progressive non-profits who are joining together to compete for over $750,000 in funding in an online giving contest called Pepsi Refresh Everything. Moreover, if it works, CPL is going to put together slates for every month throughout the rest of the contest (which could mean raising over $8 million for progressive organizations….”

This contest was fun until all of this came down, now it is heartbreaking, and Pepsi is in a no-win situation. What a shame!…. oh I could tell you some stories about all this, but it would take far too long. Check it out for yourself. These guys are scary.

How To Game PepsiCo's Charity Giveaway Project

Here's the email I received that literally floored me with it's blatant disregard for the spirit behind Pepsi's drive to "Refresh America."

Your vote is worth 250,000 dollars
More than 1,000 groups are competing for grants from the Pepsi Refresh project. The top two will split a $500,000 prize.

Yes, we're only three spots away from winning $250,000! We have 15 days left to get there. Can you help us reach our goal? Sign up to be one of our daily voters!

We're part of a "Progressive Slate" of like-minded groups competing in a community contest called "Pepsi Refresh Everything." If we get the most votes, we could win a $250,000 grant to launch a public education campaign about the new health care law.

To win, we need to get the most online votes throughout the month of September. We're asking TrueMajority members like you to sign up to be a daily voter with the Progressive Slate. It's fun, simple and it could help us raise $250,000 for a really important project. Sign up to be a daily voter here:

[Link Removed]

Our goal is to educate millions of people about their new right to health care coverage. But we can't do that unless you vote for us each day this month.

Working with the other organizations on the slate, the "Pepsi Refresh Everything" contest is a huge opportunity to win BIG money for progressive causes.

My outraged response to these "progressive" hucksters:

The Pepsi Refresh Project is a charity contest that PepsiCo has been doing and launched in lieu of spending their usual millions on Super Bowl advertising.

Instead, Pepsi has created a group of monthly grants, at various sizes, to fund what people think they should fund. People in the community submit their ideas and other people vote on them. Grants range from $5,000 to $250,000. Examples of ideas include things like turning an abandoned garbage dump into a landscaped park, cleaning up city streets by revitalizing with paint and repairs, etc.

So what does TrueMajority, a huge, well-funded, leftist organization want with PepsiCo?

They want Pepsi to give them $250,000 to promote Obamacare. WHAT?

How is that "improving the community?"

It's not. But since the socialists have a large number of followers willing to click on Internet sites so they can rob you blind for their redistribution schemes, they're going to get away with it.

Now you know the evil we're up against here, folks. These people don't even respect a legitimate corporate charity trying to commit acts of goodness around the nation in individual communities, at the street level. Instead, they want to steal that charity money meant to help people have a little better life and usurp it for use in promoting their agenda.

Does this make you happy?

A big announcement

The following is an email from MoveOn (there's nothing to see here), the socialist front group for "Democrats" and their apologists. Rather than my usual format of showing you their email and then my response, I'm going to intersperse my responses within their email. My additions are italicized in square brackets: [me writing here]. This is because the top portion of their email is short and it's idiocy is best shown by merely filling in some blanks, as it were. Note their use of the new leftist buzz term "corporate front groups" as they attack their (supposed) enemy, the Republicans...

=====

Dear MoveOn member, [even if you're just a lurker who likes to get this garbage and make comments on it]

Election Day is less than two months away, and we need to decide today whether we'll have enough resources for a major campaign to help stop the Republicans and their corporate allies from taking over Congress. [Replacing our buddies the Democrats and their corporate allies...er, I mean, interested business partners..]

In a survey over the weekend, 92% of MoveOn members [(all ten of them!)] said that we should work broadly to help Democratic candidates—especially now that corporate front groups are spending $400 million to boost Republicans' chances. [Of course, since Democrats only have "allies in business" (like BP), this same rhetoric doesn't apply to us and our matching donations. We are the good guys, after all, who are only out for your best interest, as the past several years of Congressional control should prove...]

[Insert vague "action plans" and begging for donations here.]

Islamic center near Ground Zero

Dear MoveOn member,

Last week, President Obama took a brave stand in support of a core American principle: freedom of religion.

Now, President Obama is under serious attack from Newt Gingrich, Sarah Palin and much of the Republican Party, who are using the proposed Islamic community center in Lower Manhattan to whip up fear and hate. We all need to speak out and stand with the President in defense of basic American values.

Dear MoveOn, I cut out the rest of your Obama worshipping screed:

I agree that the Muslims should be able to build their mosque. But as for Obama getting attacked by Newt and Sarah and the rest of the Republocrat tag team champs, here's what I have to say:

Fuck Obama. Let him bail himself out. He bailed out his Wall Street buddies and Big Auto, so let him bail his damn self out on this too.

Fuck him and everyone else in Washington, D.C. They're all a lot of elitist bastards with no care whatsoever for the rest of us. They can all go to hell.

Google vs. the Internet?

I'm reproducing the entire email from MoveOn because, well, the whole thing is bogus and I intend to show you that they are blatantly pro-government, pro-tyranny liars.

Dear MoveOn member,

Big news: according to reports, Google is about to cut a terrible deal with Verizon that would end the fair, open Internet as we know it.1

The reported Google-Verizon deal would allow giant corporations to control which websites load quickly and easily on the Internet and dump everyone else onto an Internet slow lane. This is exactly the kind of unequal playing field that Google itself has opposed in the past.2

We only have a few days to stop it, so we're launching a grassroots protest calling on Google to scuttle the deal. Will you sign our emergency petition to Google? Click here to sign:

[Link Removed]

The petition says: "Google: Say no to the reported agreement with Verizon to kill Net Neutrality and the open Internet."

The Internet was founded on the principle that all data is equal—and that no corporation should be able to decide whose data goes faster or slower. It's this principle, called Net Neutrality, that has made the Internet such an amazing platform for individual speech, democratic action, and entrepreneurial creativity.3

And until now, Google—which uses the corporate motto "Don't Be Evil"—has been a staunch defender of Net Neutrality.4 But now, Google is threatening to turn the Internet into a closed, pay-to-play, cash cow for large corporations. This move is evil, and Google knows it.

Here's why this is a big deal. President Obama's new Federal Communications Commission (FCC) chair initially came out strong for Net Neutrality, in line with the President's campaign promises.5 But the big telecom companies launched a lobbying frenzy, and soon the FCC was meeting with them behind closed doors.

Because Google and Verizon are two powerhouse corporations that have historically been on opposite sides of this issue, an agreement between them will put enormous pressure on the FCC to go along with their recommendations. Essentially, two giant corporations may be deciding the future of the Internet—if the Obama administration goes along, and if the public doesn't push back right away. Click here to help stop them now:

[Link Removed]

Google was once a champion on this issue—Google chief executive Eric Schmidt once attacked "phone and cable monopolies" who "want the power to choose who gets access to high-speed lanes and whose content gets seen first and fastest."6

But today's news stories report that under the new deal, Verizon could be allowed to give some sites preferential treatment. Even more ominously, it appears that Verizon would have free rein to discriminate on the mobile Internet (smartphones, cell phones, etc). Since that's where most people will access the Net going forward, this would essentially spell the end of Net Neutrality.

Google has issued a short, carefully worded statement challenging some of the details in The New York Times story, but it hasn't denied that it is going along with this agreement to kill Net Neutrality.7 So much for "Don't be evil." Will you sign our petition today and tell Google not to be evil on Net Neutrality?

==============================================================
My MoveOn There's Nothing to See Here But Propaganda response:

OK, so according to this email, Google is going to become the evil corporation that sides with another big evil corporation (Verizon) to make us all second class citizens on the Internet.

That specific content is a lie, outright, but I haven't even gotten to the undertones. First, let's look at this supposed Google-Verizon deal. At the end, MoveOn claims that Google hasn't "categorically denied" that a deal is happening. Yet the very article they cite as "proof" of this says exactly the opposite. Here's a quote from Google as well as Verizon, via PC Magazine, in the article MoveOn cited:

"The New York Times is quite simply wrong," a Google spokeswoman said in an e-mail. "We have not had any conversations with Verizon about paying for carriage of Google traffic. We remain as committed as we always have been to an open Internet."

Verizon also denied it.

"The New York Times article regarding conversations between Google and Verizon is mistaken. It fundamentally misunderstands our purpose," Verizon said in a statement. "As we said in our earlier FCC filing, our goal is an Internet policy framework that ensures openness and accountability, and incorporates specific FCC authority, while maintaining investment and innovation. To suggest this is a business arrangement between our companies is entirely incorrect."

I don't know about you, but saying "We have not had any conversations with Verizon about paying for carriage of Google traffic" looks pretty damn categorical to me.

Now let's look at the undertone inherent in this MoveOn piece (of crap) and what likely would pass for "categorical denials" for them..

Note the long references towards the middle of the MoveOn hit piece talking about the valiant efforts of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to establish so-called Net Neutrality. That, my friends, is the true intention of this MoveOn propaganda. To scare people into thinking that only the FCC can save us from evil corporations who want to ruin the Internet.

Two things MoveOn leaves out: 1) name any government agency and you've named a failure to accomplish its stated core mission; and 2) the Internet is run by big corporations already.

First, the FCC is not the lone good guy in government. They have as many sellouts as all the rest of the bureaucratic agencies within our government do. They just don't seem to make the headlines quite as often as the FDA does. Government sucks and is good at only one thing: forcing you to pay for things.

Second, the Internet is run, in the main, by big corporations right now. Don't believe me? Where does your Internet access come from? If you're American, it's most likely through a cable provider. That provider is probably owned by one of the big corporations like Comcast. They, in turn, connect to other service providers that offer various trunks and mainlines throughout the 'Net. You know, like Google who has some of the largest server farms in the world.

Verizon, AT&T, Turner, and a pan load of others all own big chunks of the infrastructure that makes up your Internet. The good news is that a lot of them are in the game, so market competition appears to be playing a role. More good news is that many overseas and other providers are also in the game and there are a near-infinite number of ways for data to get from one point to the next. So any one or two or so providers who decided to band together to "censor" or whatever would find themselves bypassed as the ever-living Web found ways around them.

Look at China's firewall. Who does it keep in line? Only the non-savvy and those uninterested in whatever content China is blocking. Everyone else has no problems sneaking around those barriers.

So MoveOn is lying from the first sentence to the last in this little screed they've sent out. Can't say it's unusual for them either.

NPR vs. Fox

Dear MoveOn member,

As early as Sunday, the White House Correspondents' Association will decide which news organization will be awarded a recently-vacated front-row center seat in the White House briefing room.

The contenders? National Public Radio, Bloomberg News—and Fox.

Yes, Fox—which we all know is actually a tool in the right-wing propaganda machine, not a legitimate news organization. They simply don't deserve the best seat in the White House briefing room—a seat held for years by journalist Helen Thomas until she retired recently.

So we're joining our friends at CREDO Action to petition the Correspondents' Association to award the seat to a real, public news organization: NPR.

Can you sign the petition today? Tell the Correspondents' Association to give the best seat in the briefing room to NPR, not Fox.

My Call Out the B.S. MoveOn Response:

Hey, MoveOn (there's nothing to see here but more socialism), I've got news for ya.. NPR is just as biased as Fox News. Just because they're supposedly "free" and "public" doesn't mean they aren't biased.

Every news organization is biased. There are no truly neutral ones and never have been. NPR leans left (towards you, but maybe not as far) while Fox leans right (or towards a different kind of left, anyway). Just because Fox doesn't like Obama and his social(ist) programs and NPR does doesn't mean one is biased and the other isn't.

Besides, we all know that if Obama has any say, Fox is out anyway. Expect Bloomberg to get it, since NPR would be too obvious and Obama loves Banksters and Wall Street types.

I have a vote I'd like to make in all this:
How about we have no "White House Press Corps" at all? Why do we need one? Why not just let them have free access to the president and conduct non-filtered, unapproved news reporting instead of the controlled, filtered, cronyism we have as "journalism" now?

After all, aren't we supposed to have a "free press?" It's right there in the First Amendment. I say we let them actually be free to operate without having to cow-tow to some group or another or to some politician(s) or another.

Hey, if this causes security problems, that's the president's problem, not the press'. Let the decision as to who gets to attend a press event, a briefing, etc. be based only one one, fair, and simple rule: first come, first served. There's seating for 200 people, so the first 200 to show up get in. The others are SOL.

That's entirely fair and totally within everyone's means. It means that a dogged web blogger can get in just as easily as a high-falutin' ABC camera crew and talking head can.

Wow... true freedom of the press. Wouldn't want that! If we had that, we might actually find out what the hell's going on once in a while..

Government stimulus that fits in your pocket

If you're like 98% of Americans, and the odds are very good that you are, you probably got a tax cut this year.

And if that cut was bigger than your tax payment, you're probably getting a rebate check in the mail right about now. That's right, despite all the tea party protests and crazy-talk from conservatives, the truth is that 98% of us are getting more FROM the government than we're giving to it.

My TrueMajority response to TrueMajority:

Uhh.. Beyond the obvious, basic economics you've completely missed there (if 98% of Americans are getting MORE from government than they paid in... 2% are covering the difference?)..

Beyond that, there's the outright lie that 98% of people are getting refunds equal to or larger than what they "paid in" via income tax. That's just total bullshit, no way around it. TrueMajority blatantly lied here.

First, theIRS (that's the proper spelling) lists the credits available for the 2009 filing season here.

You'll see by theIRS' own Filing Season Statistics that total receipts are down 2.77% from Tax Year 2008 as of 4/10/10.

This means that fewer people are filing (or paying). That's all it can mean. Further down the columns, you'll see the telling figure that blows TrueMajority's claim out of the water, though.

Under the "Total Refunds" column, look across for the three months reported thus far and what do you see? A negative trend from TY 2008-2009. A -4.8% trend over the three months (averaged).

This means that fewer people are getting a refund, not "more" as TrueMajority claims.

Of course, nobody at TrueMasocialists will bother to read this or check up on the TrueMabullshit numbers to see how they add up. They'll just blindly follow along and regurgitate the information at the next Tea Party activist or struggling small business owner who's complaining about the tax burden.

Like good little parrots of the Progressive Agenda for handing America over to the Elites entirely.

Hell No

Dear MoveOn member,

Republicans are on a rampage to repeal health care.

And with so much misinformation out there, we need to fight back with the truth.

MoveOn, there's no truth here response:

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Sorry, folks, this email from MoveOn was much longer, but I only got as far as I've quoted here before I fell on my keyboard laughing my ass off.

"We need to fight back with the truth."

That. Is. Hilarious.

So far, I've seen nothing but partisan lies and b.s. from MoveOn regarding the (so-called) healthcare reform. They love this insurance-lobby-written "health care reform" passed by CONgress.

Who does it benefit? Poor people like they say? Hell no, it benefits rich, fat, monopoly corporations. That's who.

What a crock. "Get the truth out there" my ass.

Say "Thanks" to Nanci Pelosi Like the Insurance Co's Did

Dear MoveOn member,

With all the excitement around the passage of health care, you might have missed this: a big story in The New York Times showing how the bold leadership of progressives in Congress, led by Speaker Nancy Pelosi, is a key reason health care reform is a reality today.1

After the Massachusetts election, the article says, Democrats were in disarray. White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel was pushing a plan to severely scale back reform.

But led by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, progressives stood up to fight.2 When MoveOn members looked to Democrats to "fight, not fold," Pelosi was right there with us.

Speaker Pelosi's leadership was critical—and with the recent right-wing health care backlash, it's important that progressives show we've got her back. Can you add your name to our thank you card to Speaker Pelosi today? Click the link below to sign the card:

http://pol.moveon.org/speakerpelosi/?id=19658-5497524-71ag2.x&t=3

F U VERY MUCH

I wasn't going to include the link above, but after writing this, I decided to leave it in so you can go and sign a "FU VERY MUCH" card like I did.

So here's the deal. Supposedly, according to these Progressive Democrat money laundering groups like MoveOn, Nancy is now a hero for winning us health care reform.

I'm not even going to talk about the health care reform bill other than to say it doesn't reform anything except how you get robbed to pay for health care. What I am going to talk about is lobbying and political donations.

You see, Nancy Pelosi received more money from health insurance lobbyists than any other politician last year. It was the third-largest contribution bloc to her campaign coffers, in fact. They also donated to the tune of $3.4 million in the last election cycle to the DCCC (California's Democrapic Campaign Committee).

During the health care debate, Nancy held a little invitational dinner at her husband's $25 million dollar winery to which only those who had donated the maximum-allowable $30,400 to her beloved DCCC were invited. You know, common folk who just happen to have 30 large hanging around.

You know what amazes the hell out of me? I got all this information from a website that you would think would be head over heels in love with Nancy Pelosi and the other socialists in Washington: The World Socialist Website. HA!

Deeply disturbing

The following is a letter from MoveOn. What I find deeply disturbing here is not the actions of the (supposed) Tea Party members who did these things, but that these MoveOn popularists and other jackasses refuse to see what all of this really means. It means Americans are fucking pissed off and we're not going to play their stupid games anymore. The rules have been tossed out by the jackboots in Washington, so why should we, fighting for our rights, not do the same?

Socialist groups like MoveOn are about to find out what it means to be in the minority when attempting to oppress the majority. Boots will stamp down and toes will be bloodied.

From MoveOn (there's nothing to see here)

Dear MoveOn member,

Last weekend, anti-health care protesters were out in force in Washington—and some of their behavior was deeply disturbing.

A crowd of tea partiers shouted the "n word" at Congressman John Lewis, a former civil rights leader who marched with Dr. King. They yelled homophobic epithets at Rep. Barney Frank, an openly gay congressman. And one protester actually spat on a Black member of Congress.1

Then this week, Democrats who voted for reform began receiving death threats—one had a coffin left on his lawn and another was told snipers would kill the children of lawmakers who voted yes.2 Several Democrats had their district offices vandalized, and a gas line was cut at a home that tea partiers mistakenly believed belonged to Rep. Tom Perriello.3

A few Republicans have spoken out against the racism and violence, but most are still treating them as "isolated incidents."4 They are not isolated. They've been part of Republican-supported tea parties for almost a year and they're a natural consequence of telling people that reform is a totalitarian plot.5

It's an outrage, and no American should tolerate it. So we're joining with our friends at Color of Change to stand up to the hate. Can you add your name to this letter asking Republican leaders to unequivocally condemn bigotry, hate, and violence among their supporters?
[MoveOn and other partisan groups fail to realize that the Republicans have about as much to do with the Tea Party movement as our foreign aid budget has to do with feeding starving Africans. They look related, but they aren't.]

The letter asks the leaders of the Republican party to do two simple things:

1. Unequivocally condemn bigotry and hate among your supporters, and make clear that those who embrace it have no place in your party and that you reject their support.
2. Make clear that you will not tolerate fear-mongering and coded appeals to racism from officials in the Republican Party, at any level.

Instead of calming the tea partiers' anger, Republican members of Congress have stoked it. NBC reported that on Saturday, Reps. Mike Pence, Tom Price, and Michele Bachmann all addressed the tea partiers and that Bachmann stirred them "into a tizzy."6 Protesters from that rally then fanned out across Capitol Hill and were behind the assaults on Reps. Lewis, Frank, and Cleaver.7

[These people spoke before the Tea Party, as did Sarah Palin, not because they are part of it, but because they are attempting to take it over for their own ends. Fuck 'em.]

Yesterday, Rep. John Boehner called the violence and threats "unacceptable."8 But just last week, he referred to fellow representative Steve Driehaus as "a dead man" if he voted for health care reform.9 And while Boehner's office insisted his remark wasn't meant to be taken literally, as Rep. Driehaus pointed out, "It doesn't really matter the way you meant it, nor the way I accept it. It's how the least sane person in my district accepts it."10

[Oh boy, here we go. Always aiming for the lowest common denominator in all things, the fools in Washington can't be helped...]

And there's more: During the debate on the floor of the House on Sunday, Rep. Randy Neugebauer shouted "baby-killer" at Rep. Bart Stupak.11 And after the vote, Sarah Palin told supporters "Don't Retreat—Reload," and then highlighted specific members of Congress she thinks are politically vulnerable using gun cross-hairs.12

[And? Oh, wait, I forgot. Progressives hate guns because, well, they hate the freedom they represent.]

The Tea Party movement has been marked by racially inflammatory and violent outbursts since its inception a year ago. And while most Republicans are probably disgusted by this behavior, the Republican Party and its leaders have repeatedly tolerated it at events they support.13 But the hateful rhetoric and the tacit acceptance of "isolated incidents" of violence have gotten way out of hand.

[Nevermind that a good number of those Tea Partiers are of races other than white. This doesn't work well with the Michael Moore paradigm of "it's all white people who hate us." I've met a lot of racists and none are more so than those who claim to be working for "civil rights."]

You win Aaron

After months of pushing, prodding, emailing and activism, last night the House finally passed health care reform.1

The fight for reform has been a long one. And at times, the pundits and prognosticators declared that we had already lost.2 But you never gave up. And you never lost hope. And today, thanks to your resolve and the votes of 219 members of the House, America is FINALLY getting the health care system we deserve.

My TRUEmajority response to "TrueMajority" the corporatist SOBs

Oh yes, you're getting what you deserve all right. First, the AP admitted that protesters in Washington were 3:1 against your precious Pelosicare (non)reform. Wow.. sounds like a majority to me, TrueMinority.

But here's what's really going to happen now that you New York/Los Angeles jackbooted socialists have finally gotten your way: you're going to be annexed.

Yep. 2010 won't be remembered as the year that Nanci Pelosi and crew passed "historic health care reform." Instead, it will be remembered as the year that Nanci Pelosi and Barack Obama signed the single most controversial act in the history of the nation into law and... fomented the Second Civil War.

I hope your offices are on one of the coasts so you can be part of the new United Socialist States of America because, I've got news for you: the rest of U.S. are about to boot your asses out.

Bye bye. Don't hope for your over-stretched military spread out across Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and the rest of the world to help you either. Most of their bases are here in our territory.

Have fun in your new, bankrupt nation of city-states. Feel free to come up with real money when you want to buy our goods, since your new lands don't produce anything anyway, now that you've ruined California's farm lands and destroyed the manufacturing ability of the Northeast.

Wow! Health Care from MoveOn

Dear MoveOn member,

Wow! Since Monday, MoveOn members have pledged over $1 million to support progressive primary challengers to House Democrats who vote against health care reform. That's incredible.

But with the final vote just days away, the House is still short a handful of votes.

So we're setting an ambitious new goal to keep the momentum building: $2 million in pledges by Friday. That's a serious sum for any challenger, and will make conservative Democrats think twice before casting a vote.

My Move On Please Response to MoveOn

Wow, that's impressive. You got a bunch of progressive idiots to pledge $1 million towards promising candidates that they'll get a windfall of cash if they vote for health care reform. Obviously, bribery might work. It's worked in Washington since the beginning, after all. So even bribing legislators to vote for something that will, ultimately, lead to civil war is possible of you can promise enough cash.

Here's something interesting that those legislators should think about: pledges are not money, they are promises to pay money.

Since progressives love their credit cards, this money being promised is nothing more than more promises to pay, just like they promised their VISA they would pay their personal debt, China that we will pay our national debt, and their moms that they would pay her Social Security. In the end, they will probably default.

It's helpful to note that most progressives are located in blue states like California. You know, the states going bankrupt because of their progressive policies and over spending? Oh, and in California instead of paying out tax refunds - money OWED to taxpayers - they sent out IOUs instead. Official California State pledges to pay you back.. eventually.

Keep that in mind when you view these pledges they're offering you as bribes to vote for what will, without a doubt, mark your last day in office and the likely reason you'll need to become a Mexican or Canadian national to avoid reprisals.

Americans are tired of the left coast running our show and we're tired of you people in D.C. thinking that you can take all the bribe money you want from various special interests while you sell us up the river.

So, if you want to keep some kind of life for yourself and avoid political ruin, indignities like having to grab a suitcase and sneak out of your house in the middle of the night to take the late plane to somewhere not-America, then here's my advice:

Tell Nanci Pelosi and her California dimwits that they can do all the universal healthcare they want.. IN CALIFORNIA. The rest of us are tired of their antics and aren't putting up with them any longer. We don't need Massachussetts on a national scale. Many of us will refuse to participate in a national scheme for health care and several states have made it clear they will opt themselves out - even if it means secession.

Think about that before you vote. It's worth a lot more than those promises to pay the progressives are hyping at you.

Insurance CEOs under arrest, Congress next

To the Members of TrueMajority,

The Department of Homeland Security has received a copy of the following missive from your organization and subsequent inquiries have authenticated this email as coming from your headquarters cave in Pakistan via the Al Qaeda network in Afghanistan, New York City, etc.

Pursuant to the directives given DHS in our Congressional mandate, we hereby declare your organization to be a terrorist group engaged in treasonous and anti-American behavior. See also the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), and the Missouri IAC report (MIAC), all of which define what is a terrorist and insurrectionist in today's modern United States of America.

Your missive, which is quoted below, clearly shows your anti-government leanings and that you are engage in terroristic propaganda.

Yesterday we sent health insurance industry a message they will not forget.

Thousands of protesters marched through downtown Washington, D.C., to arrest the CEOs of Big Insurance, and demand that Congress finish reform right.1 In addition, we faxed over 3,000 wanted posters made by TrueMajority members like you to the insurance CEOs' offices -- tying up phone lines and creating chaos for their lobbyists.

It was big news, and Congress is taking notice. This morning leaders of the House of Representatives committed to making progress on a final bill NEXT WEEK,2 and President Obama is touring the country to build support too.3

But getting the debate restarted and putting the insurance companies on notice is only the first step. Yesterday thousands of people marched in D.C. To win, we need Congress to follow through. And that's going to take more pressure from more of us.

This type of un-American behavior must be squelched in its infancy. Thus, this letter will be delivered via a joint task force of Department of the Treasury, Secret Service, and Federal Bureau of Investigation SWAT agents.

Yours in Love of Country,

Janet Napolitano
Chief Director, Department of Homeland Security
Washington, D.C.

Awful decision

Dear MoveOn member,

For over a year, big corporations have blocked the best parts of Obama's agenda: health care reform, clean energy, financial reform, and more. The Supreme Court's recent decision allowing corporations to spend unlimited funds on political campaigns is about to make things much worse.

Yesterday, MoveOn members blew away our goal and have already donated more than $200,000 to help launch a huge new campaign to end corporate domination in Washington, DC. That's awesome—thank you! Now we're aiming to raise $350,000 together.

My MoveOn, Your Help Not Needed Here Response:

Umm... Actually, Obama never had the agenda you think he had. You know, the Marxist one he used to get elected by idiots like you. The corporations funded his campaign, filled his cabinet, and are the ones drafting his "proposals."

Of course, you do realize that the Supreme Court's recent decision was regarding a non-profit corporation and its ability to do grassroots political action during a campaign. Right?

You know, a non-profit corporation just like you? Or are you saying that MoveOn shouldn't be able to make any kind of political talk during elections either?

If so, that's going to severely limit your mission as a PAC.

Not that you care. All you needed was another excuse to bitch about "corporations" so you could get the dolts who support you to fork over more cash.
